So finally after showing this skirt in a haul way back in February I'm finally getting around to showcasing it in its very own outfit post - we got there eventually. Midi skirts might be gorgeous and elegant and what not but I can assure you they're hard to walk in and I don't recommend tackling stairs - going down isn't actually so bad but you don't have much freedom of movement if you choose a leather effect one like this you're pretty much stuck unless you can find some handsome fireman to give you a lift. All I need now is to find one because I'm pretty much in love with this skirt and I refuse to be hindered in wearing it as often as I'd like to due to something as boring as practicality of movement! Other situations it might not be wise to wear a leather effect midi skirt in would include when it's hot - as in the hottest day of the year so far. Slightly sticky situation - literally! (Aren't fashion blogs glamorous!) However since that doesn't happen that often in the UK it's not too much of a warning, and for those of you who are lucky enough to get warmer weather I'm sure you've acclimatised and mastered the art of wearing certain materials in heat - I think I'll stick to cotton and linen and nothing else whenever the temperature goes above 18 degrees celsius from now on - my pale British skin can't handle it!
In other news I might actually be in love with this belt, and they do a gold based one which I can definitely see me ordering pretty soon - I think it'll look gorgeous over trench coats in autumn but beautiful with the metallics that roll round every summer like clockwork.
