Gift With Purchase at M&S

14 April 2014

Yesterday I spent a lazy Sunday wandering round a garden centre with my grandmother - there was a 20% off day we didn't know know about it and it was crazy, so after some afternoon tea and a few quick purchases, a candle for me (I say a mere 'a candle', it's the BEST candle ever, keep an eye on my youtube channel for a haul soon!) and some plants for the grandmother before hot footing it over to the actual shopping centre across the road, which was nowhere near as busy.

Anyway, the car park is conveniently located at the entrance of Marks and Spencer, meaning we pass through it every time and I always end up perusing the aisles of it's beauty mecca whilst the parentals peruse the aisles of the food are and stock up on more boring items like pasta and veggies and whatever else you buy when doing a food shop.

During my amble yesterday I noticed a few offers were on that should probably be brought to your attention - though they finish on the 16th April so if they tickle your fancy get in there quick!

The first one to catch my eye was the one that I ended up taking home - the Philip Kingsley Happy Hair Days Kit which has 6 shampoo minis and 4 conditioner minis in it. I've talked multiple times about how useful I find minis to try before committing to a full sized product so when I realised that this was free with the purchase of two items my card was whipped out quicker than you could blink. As for the two items I purchased to earn this gift? Stay tuned, details soon...

I actually got a similar gift last year with the only difference being that I got the Moroccan Rose body wash and body cream in it, so I can vouch that this is a good one. Actually, this one is probably even better than mine was because the Neroli and Grapefruit scent is much nicer in my opinion - despite it being my namesake I'm not a huge fan of the scent of rose, though the Moroccan Rose isn't overpowering. This kit contains a mini of the heralded Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask which retails at £0 and isn't advised for sensitive skin so it's a good chance to try that out and see if it's suitable for your skin before committing £30 to the full size! With a cleanser, moisturiser and eye cream it pretty much has you covered for holidays.

You can see me getting excited about my version in this video here!

There are a few more gifts but the last one I that's playing on my mind is the Bliss one. Bliss isn't a brand I've tried a lot of but I've always been interested in their fat girl slim cream, as far as I'm aware it was one of the original anti cellulite firming creams that eventually trickled down to the drugstore. I've never been totally convinced about what a cream can do for cellulite and wobbly bits, but I'm interested to give it a go and it being included in the smaller size in this gift gives me a chance to do that and I'd like to give the energising mask a go too, so the only problem is what do I buy as my two items...

As I said these offers only run until the 16th (inclusive of the 16th!) so you've only got a few days to go so get down to your local M&S or head online if they pique your interest.

I'm so impressed with the M&S Beauty Halls - you can see me blabbering on about bits I've bought in another video here at around 14 minutes in, chatting about Skyn Iceland https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qe5n8BPAKXI - and the staff on the beauty hall are all really helpful as well, they genuinely know what they're talking about and aren't just normal staff who've been put in there to keep it tidy. They're properly trained so you can ask questions and get advice from them - it's really no different to visiting Space NK or a department store except that it's much more accessible. I was visiting the Braehead branch, which will mean very little to anyone outside Glasgow, but it's a shopping centre that has a Boots and a Lush and that's about it for beauty, there's no big department store and although the Boots has some of the high end brands it doesn't carry all of the ones that M&S does, so it means if I wanted to go to a store in Braehead I can still get my beauty fix - and kudos to the lovely manager for standing talking to me for about 15 minutes about the new beauty releases we were both excited over!
