So today I wore my coat over my shoulders like a real fashion blogger (as opposed to a fake one, obviously)/French Vogue Editor. Well, for something that looks so effortlessly cool - it's bloody hard! It repeatedly fell and I kept having to grab on to  it at the last minute and save it from an untimely death of landing in the various puddles that litter the ground. Or, you know, a trip to the dry cleaners. Essentially I kept clutching at it so as to save myself the money. But whatever. Let's get back on track here. So, whilst I'm pointing out the problems associated with this particular French-Vogue-Editor-Look problem, as someone with an 'I must fluff my hair every twenty seconds without fail or I combust' syndrome, having to keep clutching my coat every two seconds was most difficult, especially since raising my arms to fluff my hair was counter productive to keeping the coat on the shoulders - cue a lot of the day spent with one hand in my hair and one hand clutching at my coat. All in all, I definitely did not look anything like as effortlessly cool as there French Vogue Editors who sport this typo of laid back, nonchalant fashion.

I'm going to put it down to me having ridiculously narrow shoulders and that my shoulders are just not made to support a casually draped coat. I do like the look, but feel it's maybe one for someone with shoulders slightly wider set than mine. Or who doesn't have to fluff their hair like a crazy obsessed person every twenty seconds. Or maybe it's just an excuse to buy a less structured and more swingy coat that would perhaps work better…

Any excuse, right?
