I wore this when S and I took a jaunt to Scotland Street School Museum last week in an effort to be more cultured and do something a bit different. The man at the door asked us upon arrival if we were there for the X Factor auditions and when we looked confused and said that no we weren't he replied with 'good cause they're not here anyway', so I'm not sure if that was a comment on my brightly coloured attire or if it's just a joke neither of us were getting! I guess I was a bit patterned for a Tuesday afternoon in a museum, but if you can't be colour heavy and patterned for a Tuesday afternoon in a museum then when can you be!?
Whilst we were there we countered the Beatrice Potter exhibition which I really enjoyed - I devoured the Peter Rabbit books as a young child and I had a gorgeous collection of them, which I'm sure are in storage somewhere for me to read to my children (or maybe just my cousins' and friends' children, not entirely sure I don't just want a dog instead!) It was a beautiful exhibit and really made me appreciate the beauty of the illustrations in the books, which although I had always liked I probably never gave a lot of thought to, so if you're in the Glasgow area I'd definitely recommend having a look.

  6. Love the skirt and shoes, and the jacket is such a great, unusual match. I'd love to go and see that exhibition, I loved Beatrix Potter books when I was a child too. And more recently the film about her life: so sad!
