Bonjour! I'm home. I had a night out last night for a friend's birthday but I'm spending today in bed recovering from last night and it's driving it in that sinking "I'm home from my holiday" feeling, just need to get on with booking the next one!

The weather forecast was for 26 degrees and sun, but I swear it felt more like 30 on Saturday. The combination of how busy everything was and the totally cloudless skies made for lots of pictures with us screwing our eyes up, and a lament that neither of us brought sunglasses.
We got our driver to drop us off at our Paris hotel, dumped our bags and wandered up to Gare du Nord to buy our Paris Visite 3 day tickets and then made our way to the Eiffel tower at a leisurely pace, wandering in and out the shops and stopping for an obligatory crepe en route.
We felt quite proud after working out the Paris Metro lines (not because they're complicated but because we thought they would be then weren't!) and after a day of pavement pounding we headed for dinner, wandered by the Opera house at night and fell into bed early and ready for day 2.
